In February we opened our brand new Dance Studio at the Sports Centre. See the back page for details of all the new courses available at the Sports Centre. It will soon be time to re-open the college’s heated outdoor swimming pool. The pool is open from May Bank Holiday to the end of August with public sessions everyday, including weekends and school holidays. It is run by a volunteer committee and they are always on the lookout for qualified lifeguards and supervisors willing to help run the pool, so if you enjoy swimming and would like to help please telephone 01954 288751.

Finally, I am pleased to report that we now have the largest number of students of any centre in South Cambridgeshire and we continue to offer the widest range of leisure courses. SPRING / SUMMER 2008

Welcome to our Spring and Summer Brochure and web site where we hope you will find a course that
interests you.

Our fourteenth Summer School will take place from Monday 28 July – Friday 1 August. This year, we are offering 28 courses lasting from one to five days, catering for many tastes, so if you have never been before, now is your chance! Come and enjoy learning a new skill in a relaxed atmosphere with an excellent lunch each day, prepared for you. All the courses are led by excellent tutors and cover topics ranging from Digital Photography, Webpage Design, Tapestry Weaving and Silver Jewellery to Tai Chi,
Mexican Cookery, Bridge and Bird Watching. Ring 01954 288751 to book a place.

Computer classes continue to be an important part of our programme and we offer courses for all levels of ability. Our main qualification is the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) which has proved very popular. We are now also able to offer the I.T.Q, which is a vocational computer qualification including a work based element. If you are a local employer, we would like to talk to you about combining the work based training with tuition in the college in order to raise the ICT skills of your work force and it need not cost you anything.
